Vampiress and Raven

Where is this vampire girl going on a chilly winter night with her raven familiar on her shoulder?

I got the idea for this painting from a myspace illustration. I think it came out pretty well. I especially like how the vamp girl's hair and the ravens wings come out of the winter scene circle. I also like the blue highlights in her hair. Chilly and undead!

You can't tell from this photo but I put just a little strategically placed glitter on this picture. The raven has black and iridescent green glitter on some of his feathers, and the vampiress has just the faintest shimmer of iridescent glitter on the irises of her eyes so when you look at her from certain angles it looks as if her eyes are following you. The eye glitter was experimental, I wasn't at all sure what kind of effect it would have on the painting, but all in all I think it's a pretty cool addition to her sexy and spooky look.

Green Witch

Who knew apple green, bright pink, and red would all look so fantastic together? Yes I'm still on a bit of a witch kick. They make me happy, what can I say?

I wish I could get rid of the glare when I take photos of my pumpkins. Below is another photo angle on this painting that shows the sleeve of her dress better.

Bunny and Puppy

This puppy is going out Trick-or-Treating dressed as his favorite hero, a fire man!

I painted this pumpkin for one of the doctors I work for who's little boy loves firemen.

Painted pumpkins are great for little ones who are too small to participate in pumpkin carving. Since the pumpkins are sprayed with acrylic sealer, you can let the kids touch or play with the pumpkins without worrying about messing up the paint.

This lovely bunny ballerina is ready to get her candy too! The doctor requested a bunny for her daughter's pumpkin.

Elvish Witch

Hello Halloween 2010!

My first pumpkins of 2010 are done, and I love how this adorable elvish witch came out. Does she look a little like actress Anne Hathaway to you? I swear to you I'm not obsessed with celebrities. I have no idea why some of my characters turn out looking like famous people.

I am digging her serene smile and her pointy ears. I wish I had pointy ears. Too cute!

This is a REALLY big, heavy pumpkin. I hope it finds a good home with some one who will like her and her black kitten as much as I do.
